In the San Francisco Bay Area, there are 1.1 million people without the resources to meet their basic needs. Tipping Point Community provides financial support to the organizations that serve as our region’s safety net, investing nearly $300 million since 2005 toward housing, early childhood, education, and employment solutions.

To help Tipping Point tell the story of its philanthropic work during the COVID-19 pandemic, we built a custom microsite for their 2020 Impact Report, their most important touchpoint with their donors. We also created visual assets and collateral for their second annual donor event held outdoors at the Presidio.

Creativity is one of Tipping Point’s core values. Our challenge was to give the 2020 annual Impact Report a distinct look and feel that fit the theme of the year and set it apart from the previous reports.

Our strategy and design team facilitated a workshop to help crystalize their messaging themes and develop a creative direction. We worked closely with their marketing and donor engagement teams to hone the visuals and determine the hierarchy of the content they produced in-house.

We incorporated simple animations to increase readability, creating visual pauses that make data points more digestible and compelling.

A month after launching the Impact Report, we used the same theme and creative direction to create digital and print assets for their drive-in concert donor event. We created animations, graphics, and slides for the event programming, as well as a printed welcome packet for attendees.
