We spent the day learning all about the incredible story and philosophy behind @botniaskincare, visiting Botnia's flagship @skinremedysf as well as their micro-farm and lab in Sausalito. We're thrilled to be working together to reimagine their packaging design!
The new website we built for @hodofoods features combined storytelling through video, lifestyle photography, and hand-drawn illustrations, all which supported the ultimate goal of driving deeper engagement. We considered the user’s experience of the site in detail, optimizing functionality and flow for ease of use and desired results—in Hodo’s case, increased recipe and store locator views. Our client @hodofoods has been disrupting the American market by making delicious, tofu and yuba that’s organic and non-GMO for more than a decade. We partnered with them to create a new website, starting with thoughtful strategy that included these user journey maps. In a climate of booming construction, we set apart Build Group from its competitors by tapping into its founders’ gutsy but professional personality, telling their story in compelling ways. Our choice for the striking, electric blue enlivens Build Group’s brand identity in the digital space. Each landing page features an unconventional but captivating grid layout that showcases an impressive range of projects. Our goal was to develop a seamless user experience and robust brand touchpoint attractive to potential partners and employees. In order to do so, we crafted Build Group's overarching brand voice and identified core values through a series of strategy workshops, honing in a clear point of view. (2/3)
When it comes to constructing skyscrapers, modern commercial offices, and detailed luxury interiors, Build Group is right at home. We completed an overhaul of the company's website to serve as brand ambassador and powerful sales and recruitment tool for the growing years ahead. The Laurel Inn is a boutique hotel in the charming Pacific Heights neighborhood in SF with strong mid-century modern sensibilities. We had the opportunity to build a new brand identity system, which included exploring and creating custom typography for the logo. "I wanted to create something quiet and refined, elegant and practical. Instead of scrapping the previous mark concept (a laurel), I thought it would be nice to simplify the icon to something more symbolic, less illustrative. In contrast to the organic mark, the letters are angular (referring to the exterior) and funky — the contrast of the letters flares in a way that alludes to common shapes in mid-century culture."—@yehoshuawhite #chendesign

Auction Napa Valley, hosted by @napavintners, is an annual weekend of events that includes vineyard parties, vintner-hosted dinners, and live auctions to benefit disadvantaged families in the region. We designed a booklet invitation for #AuctionNapa that is custom die-cut, side sewn-bound, and incorporates French folds, multiple metallic inks, and de-bossed details.
